"i had a very comfortable stay at the Inn on Folsom. It was conveniently located to multiple neighborhoods in SF and that was a great help in getting adjusted to the public transit system. The customer service and turn down service were both great! They made sure I was comfortable and my space was clean. The music was a bit loud on the first night, but after that it wasn't an issue at all. It depends on the programming the club has scheduled for the night how noisy it'll get. I think this is a great option if you are on a tight budget, you want to skip the bunks at a hostel and have a private room to yourself. The shared bathrooms were kept tidy and there wasn't a wait at all. I liked the Satellite Cable to unwind after a day bustling around. Overall, I would be back and recommend this place to others. "
"Inn is a short walk to BART/MUNI and downtown area. Staff are friendly and helpful, even when I had billing issues. Amenities are simple but the place is so clean and decorated nicely. "
"Overall the hotel and staff where great! Everything was very clean. The only downside was the club downstairs that played Karaoke till 3am every day. The walls are so thin (and music so loud) that it was difficult to sleep. However earplugs were made available in the room."
"I stayed at the Inn on Folsom for nine days for the GDC conference with a friend. It was a really great experience. It was one of the cleanest inns I've ever been to, and was kept tidy and well maintained. There was coffee 24/7 at the lobby as well as yogurt for snacks. There are no private bathrooms, but there is a sink and mirror in each of rooms. There is a toilet and three showers on each of the two floors, and so I never had to wait to use the loo. It also felt very safe because you'd need to use your room card to enter the inn. Location-wise, Folsom street is in the heart of SoMa has a bunch of yummy cafes, eateries and bars. While it's not in the midst of downtown, it's about a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest MUNI and BART station. One thing to note that it's located on top of the Cat Club bar. This makes it a bit noisy for those who are light sleepers, especially during weekends. I never minded it though. When it comes down to it, you could always request a room on the second floor (farther up from the club) Ben, the manager was great and the staff was really friendly. I'd go there again!"
